BOOMERANG, was nominated for Book of the Year in Idaho in 2001.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
"I
have had the good fortune of living in Oregon all of my 79 years, and was born in the little town of Carlton, 7 miles north of McMinnville. My mother’s family came to Oregon in the late 1840s and 1850s, so I have some pretty deep roots. When my father died in 1932, my mother moved us to Canby; then after serving in Europe during WW2, I, with my wife, moved to Roseburg in early l946. In the 50s we built a fishing resort, Steamboat Inn, on the N. Umpqua River 39 miles east of Roseburg, At the present time we live just 5 miles below Steamboat.
It was at the Inn where we shared some wonderful times with the Grey and Hemingway families. Loren, Zane's youngest son, is still alive in the San Fernando valley and in touch with us all of the time. As you know, Jack Hemingway recently died after a very eventful life. He was sure a lot of fun to be with."

Jacob Mead was an infant when he was adopted off an Orphan Train by Jess & Evangeline Mead in 1890. Jess Mead had been cruel to his son, cruel to his wife and cruel to himself. Now, 17 years later, the old Civil War veteran was dead; it was a new Century, and Jacob was finally free. Free? To do what, to go where? Jacob’s mother urged him to go East and look for his brothers & his sister. Could they be found? The clues were scant, the trail was cold, but the results of the eventual search stunning. Neil Browning & Randy Alsman also had plans for Jacob. He could go straight to hell just as long as they got his stepfather’s money.

Praise from a big fan of “Boomerang,”

Dear Adam,

“A short note to let you know that I have just finished the book
"Boomerang", and enjoyed it very much. I read at night after I go to bed,
and I found myself looking forward to being with Jacob and friends (and
enemies) in every new adventure."

Sincerely,
